About Landfall Homes for Sale
Combining the best of two worlds—city living and the beach—Landfall offers a gated haven for families, retirees and everyone in between. Directly on the Intracoastal Waterway just across from Wrightsville Beach, Landfall is a large enclave of homes, with 2,200 acres and more than 2,000 homesites. Started in 1987, the community has a massive infrastructure of roads, trails, parks, sports facilities, and postal stations, with the Country Club of Landfall at its center. Landfall homes for sale offer a setting like no other in all of Wilmington.
The Country Club boasts two golf courses with 45 championship holes designed by golf legends Pete Dye and Jack Nicklaus. The club’s sports complex, developed by tennis hall of famer Cliff Drysdale, includes 14 tennis courts, an extensive fitness center, and an Olympic-sized pool.
If you are looking for Landfall homes for sale you will find a wide variety of home styles throughout Landfall, placed along the golf courses, lakes, ponds, creeks, conservation areas and the Intracoastal Waterway.
Landfall is one-of-a-kind in the Carolinas and the entire East Coast. Although it is a coastal community, it is not a transient community nor is it a resort community. Most of the property owners live in Landfall year-round, calling it home.
With the accolade of “Best Address” in the 2001 Forbes magazine ranking of “Best Places,” Landfall is worth a look for those who want it all.

Dining and Shopping
Mayfaire and Lumina Station offer some of Wilmington’s finest restaurants including the Bento Box, Osteria Cicchetti, Roku Italian Cuisine, Catch, Portland Grille, Boca Bay, Port City Chop House, and the Bridgetender Restaurant, which just happens to offer the best Shrimp and Grits I’ve ever tasted!
Grocery shoppers can choose from multiple Harris Teeters, a Lowes Food, and a Fresh Market all within 5 minutes as well as a Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods that are only 12 and 15 minutes down the road respectively.
